The courses you have access to are described below. 

What you get access to

  • Star Consultative Selling

    Our core course which teaches the consultative selling method. Sales professionals work on: mindset, strategy, lead generation, making contact, consultative interviews and presentations, closing and are introduced to account management. A workbook, video material and assessment are the core components of this course.

  • STAR Negotiator

    A course designed to turn salespeople and managers into master negotiators. You will learn about: the 7 laws of negotiation, the plan and structure of negotiations, 34 negotiation tactics and counter tactics and procurement tactics and how to counter them. A workbook, video materials and assessment are the core components of this course.

  • STAR Account Manager

    It is around 5 times as hard to gain a new account than to retain an existing one. This course focuses on the three core competencies of an account manager: The Server (for account management), The Hoarder (for account retention) and the Farmer (for account growth. This course centres around a account plan document, with video materials and assessments.

  • Webinar Portal

    The webinar portal allows users to access our exclusive webinar series. Access it to register for the current series and watch recordings of previous webinars.

How we recommend you use the Academy.

We recommend using the Academy resources in the following order: 


1. Register for our Webinar Series and join the Community

Go to the Webinar Portal course and follow the instructions to register for our regular webinars. 

Also, make sure you and your team join the SalesStar Community. It is hosted on Facebook and is the perfect forum to ask questions and share experiences.

2. Pre coaching session content

Your manager will have access to tools that allow them to run regular coaching sessions with your team. They may advise you to complete a certain piece of content before a coaching session. 


3. Self Paced Learning

You can work through the STAR Courses at your own pace. Either work through them from start to end, or select the topics that you think would be most beneficial. If you complete all the sections of a course you will become certified and receive a certificate and badge to post onto your Linkedin profile or social feed.
